100 views without one reply. Must be a record.
It does not hurt or cost anything.
Jim, Im eager to follow your process on your car. Now is this the same car you had, or is it just the same make and model?
The 53 Ford shown in my Avatar is a picture of the Car I owned in High School. I sold that car and it was wrecked by that owner. So that car is not around anymore. I have purchased a 53 Ford similar to my original car and I am recreating that car in my shop now.
Progress is coming along well. I have completed removing all the trim. The remotes for the shaved doors and decked trunk are installed. The hood has the louvers done, along with being decked and hood corners rounded. I am working on finishing the headlights and have started on frenching the tail lights. Some layout work has also been done on the grill area. I completed lowering the car all around with a 2 inch drop in the rear and a 2 1/2 inches drop in the front.
I think it is starting to look like my old ride.

Nice and clean. More pics on the build please. I am still trying to fanagle the guy that has a 58 Chevy 4 door similar to my car to a lower price. Hopefully soon. My original sits in a junkyard in a million pieces. But the guy wanted 2800 for a non running 6 cyl delray with no options and needs complete resto. It's in pretty good resto shape. I got him to 1500 but would like to see closer to 1000.
To those who dance to the beat of a different drum...and dare to make their dreams come true.

Just added some pictures of my project Car. Thanks for the interest and the reply.
Progress has slowed as the tail lights & Grill area will take some time to fabracate.
Will add more pictures as things change.
